Frequently Asked Questions

How do you certify your translations?

Our certified translations are stamped on every page with our “Certified Translation” company stamp and signed by our Head Translator Monica Pasin. This method is in line with the Singapore requirements for certified translation and has always been accepted by all local authorities thus far. Additionally, if required, we can provide a separate translation certificate with our company details, and/or sign an affidavit.

How much does certified translation cost?

The cost of a certified translation varies based on four main factors: the amount of text to translate, the level of technicality, how complex the formatting is and how urgently you need to receive your translation. As an indication, the minimum price for a one page document is S$60.00.

What is the turnaround time for a certified translation?

The turnaround time for certified translations depends on the amount of text to translate and on how complex the formatting is. As an indication, single-page documents usually take 2 business days, whereas a 10-page document such as a contract may take around 7 business days.

We also provide an urgent translation service for an additional rush fee. Get in touch to let us know your needs and we will do our best to find the best solution for you.

Will I receive my certified translation in paper copy or digital form?

In short, both! The original printed copy of your certified translation can be delivered to your address via courier, or you may pick it up from our office in Central Singapore. Additionally, you will receive a scan of your certified translation via email free of charge, for your own digital records.

Please note:

Based on the feedback we have been getting from our clients, some submissions can now be done in the digital format. This means you might not require the printed copy of your translation, and might be able to save on the delivery fees. It is our clients’ responsibility to check which certified translation format - printed or digital - is required for their submissions. Please contact your requesting authority to check their specific translation requirements before placing your order.

It all sounds great… Now, how do I order a certified translation?

Email us at monica@favellatranslations.com with a scan of the document or certificate to translate, plus a few details:

  1. what language you need us to translate your document into

  2. when you need to receive the translation by

  3. where the translation will be submitted, and if you require both a digital and a paper copy of it.

Then sit back and relax - we will assess your request and get back to you as soon as possible during our business hours (in most cases, within 60 minutes).

(Urgent request? Fret not! We offer an urgent certified translation service at a surcharge. Simply specify “Urgent” in your message and we will do our best to assist.)

Once we have all the necessary information, we will send you a translation quote together with our payment details.

If you are happy with the quote, place your order by paying the quoted amount via PayNow or bank transfer, and don’t forget to send us a screenshot of your completed transaction.

We will provide you with an invoice, register your order and start working on your translation. As simple as that!
